Got a favorite renovation in your neighborhood? Noticed an especially fine restoration of a downtown building? Let the Louisiana Landmarks Society know all about them.

The nonprofit preservation group is seeking nominations through Jan. 16 for its second annual “Awards for Excellence in Historic Preservation.”

Projects completed in Orleans Parish (outside of the French Quarter) in 2014 are eligible for nomination if they are outstanding examples of “restoration, rehabilitation or new construction in a historic district.”

In 2014, the Landmarks Society recognized 15 projects completed in 2012 and 2013, including the restoration of a private home, the conversion of a fire station into a mixed-use facility and the revival of a long-shuttered theater.
