With guitarist John Mayer on the mend following an emergency appendectomy in New Orleans, Dead & Company has rescheduled a show at the Smoothie King Center for Feb. 24, 2018.

All tickets issued for the original Dec. 5, 2017 date will be honored.

Early on the morning of that original show date, Mayer was rushed to a New Orleans hospital to have his appendix removed. The band was forced to postpone that night's concert in New Orleans, as well as the two Florida shows that were to have wrapped up Dead & Company's fall tour.

Those two dates have also been rescheduled. They'll play Sunrise, Florida on Feb. 26 and Orlando on Feb. 27.

They rebooked the arena shows following a four-night stand Feb. 15-18 at a resort in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.

In addition to Mayer, Dead & Company features three holdovers from the Grateful Dead's classic lineup — guitarist/vocalist Bob Weir and drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann — plus bassist Oteil Burbridge and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti.

They began touring as Dead & Company following the Grateful Dead's Fare Thee Well farewell concerts in 2015.
