Two performances by contemporary Cajun band the Lost Bayou Ramblers originally scheduled for Friday, Dec. 8 at the Music Box Village have been postponed to Saturday, Dec. 9, because of the threat of inclement weather.
The Music Box Village is an outdoor venue with structures made out of recycled materials. The structures themselves function as improvised musical instruments. Audiences sit and stand amidst the structures during performances.
With cold and rain forecast for Friday night, organizers of the event have decided to delay the shows for 24 hours, to Saturday. Show times are still 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored on Saturday. Additional tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
The pre-printed Beaucoup entertainment tabloid in Thursday's New Orleans Advocate still contains the original Friday date for the shows.
