Tired of that same-old king cake? Try adding some bugs.
That's just what the Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium is doing this Carnival season, according to a report from WWL-TV.
Audubon will include tastings of the cricket-laden treat with general admission tickets, and they'll be offered through Lundi Gras on Feb. 12.
The cakes have a “nice nutty flavor” with a “crickety” crunch, Director of Visitor Programs Jayme Necaise said in the report.
