“THE WOMAN IN BLACK 2: ANGEL OF DEATH”: After a group of orphaned children is forced to leave London, caretakers Eve (Phoebe Fox) and Jean (Helen McCrory) transport the poor dears to the obviously haunted Eel Marsh House. In this sequel to the Daniel Radcliffe-starring “The Woman in Black,” the poorly chosen house of refuge reveals itself to be the house of horrors it always was. The desperate Eve asks a handsome pilot (Jeremy Irvine) to help save the lost boys and girls.
“PELICAN DREAMS”: Filmmaker Judy Irving (“The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill”) follows a starving California brown pelican’s capture on the Golden Gate Bridge to its rehabilitation at a wildlife facility. The story moves on to explore pelican nesting grounds, the birds’ Pacific coast migration and the challenges to their survival.
