“THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2”: Andrew Garfield returns as Spider-Man, aka Peter Parker, in the second film of the successfully restarted “Spider-Man” series. There’s more frenetic, thrilling footage of Spider-Man swinging through New York City’s skyscrapers but, more importantly, he faces a dangerous new villain, the monstrously powerful Electro (Jamie Foxx). Also, returning cast member Emma Stone is back as Gwen, Spider-Man’s love interest.

“WALK OF SHAME”: A comedy-adventure set on the mean streets of Los Angeles, “Walk of Shame” stars Elizabeth Banks (“The Hunger Games,” “Pitch Perfect”) as a local TV news anchor who makes a wild walk of shame after she loses her cell phone, credits cards and car following a night with a charming, handsome stranger. James Marsden (“Anchorman 2”) co-stars.

“MY FATHER AND THE MAN IN BLACK”: A musical documentary built from recorded 1960s and 1970s telephone conversations between country music star Johnny Cash and his manager, Saul Holiff, as well as Holiff’s audio diaries. Showing at Chalmette Movies.
