Bette Midler, legendary performer and multi-Grammy winner, will visit New Orleans May 16 during her just-announced tour — the first in over a decade.

The Divine Miss M will perform at the Crescent City’s Smoothie King Center.

Tickets for the national tour go on sale Monday, Nov. 17, for American Express holders. General public sales begin Nov. 24. With every ticket purchased online, fans will be entitled to a copy of Midler’s new CD, “It’s the Girls!”

The tour will feature material from Midler’s career and material from her new album, a tribute to girl groups through the ages.

“It’s The Girls!” features New Orleans’ Boswell Sisters, the swinging sounds of the World War II-era Andrews Sisters, to ’60s super-groups like The Supremes and The Shirelles, and ’90s hit-makers TLC.
