Josh Groban, the classically trained singing star who straddles the usually divided worlds of pop and classical music, will perform at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans on Oct. 21.

Groban’s “The Stages Tour” will include stops at selected theaters, such as the Saenger, giving the singer’s fans a chance to see and hear him in venues other than the arenas where he often performs.

Patrons who purchase tickets online will also have a choice of receiving either a standard physical copy or a standard digital copy of “Stages,” Groban’s new album of songs from Broadway.

“Stages,” to be released April 28, features Groban’s orchestrated renditions of songs from “Les Misérables” (“Bring Him Home”); Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Carousel” (“You’ll Never Walk Alone”); Stephen Sondheim’s “Sunday in the Park with George” (“Finishing the Hat”), “Sweeney Todd” (“Not While I’m Around”); “Into the Woods” (“Children Will Listen”); “The Fantasticks” (“Try to Remember”); “A Chorus Line” (“What I Did For Love”); Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera” (“All I Ask of You”), “The Wizard of Oz” (“Over the Rainbow”) and others.
