WALK THIS WAY

On the second Saturday of each month, galleries in historic downtown Covington host an after-hours art walk, featuring exhibit openings, refreshments and music. Patrons turned out in droves this month to enjoy the creative bounty and the balmy early-spring weather.

In the abstract

The St. Tammany Art Association held an opening reception for “Conversations with Abstraction,” featuring work by Molly Howell, Elliot Stokes, Ralph Townsend and Hasmig Vartanian, in the Miriam Barranger Gallery. A discussion and demonstration in working abstractly will be given by Townsend on March 12 at the Art Association.
