More than 75 Louisiana photographers, including nationally and internationally acclaimed artists, are showcased in the group exhibition of the first Louisiana photography biennial, curated by Jazz & Heritage Foundation executive director Don Marshall. Many of the featured artists attended a recent opening reception. The show runs through Nov. 19 at the New Orleans Art Center.
Visual artist Barbie L'Hoste and photographer Brandt Vicknair collaborated to create “Mash Buhtaydusss” — billed as “something different” — at the Art Center’s upstairs gallery. The show featured 13 original mixed media art pieces by the duo.
