Two newly born giraffes, a reticulated giraffe calf named Poco born on Mardi Gras Day and another calf born on Jan. 9, which will be named either Zulu or T'Challa based on a online poll, are doing well at the Freeport-McMoRan Audubon Species Survival Center on the West Bank of New Orleans, La. Friday, March 2, 2018. Poco is named in honor of longtime Audubon Nature Institute board member Lynes "Poco" Sloss, who reigned as 2018 Rex, King of Carnival, on Mardi Gras.
