A white pickup that was used in a triple shooting Monday that killed two LaPlace residents and wounded another was found burning Tuesday morning in Reserve, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said.

A sheriff’s deputy spotted it about 5 a.m. while on patrol, Tregre said.

There still are no suspects in the killings, he said.

Authorities said the gunfire erupted about 2 a.m. Monday after the three victims pulled up in a car in the 400 block of State Street. They had just parked and were leaving the vehicle when one or more gunmen opened fire from the white, four-door pickup that had been following them, Tregre said.

Travis Gregoire, 23, and Sierra Gregoire, 18, both of LaPlace, were killed, becoming the second and third homicide victims in the parish this year.

A 23-year-old man was wounded. Authorities have not released his name but said he was in stable condition.
