The New Orleans Public Library and the Algiers Economic Development Foundation have partnered to present the small-business development seminar Mind Your Business. Speakers from LiftFund and Whitney Bank will discuss small-business banking and access to capital.
This seminar will help identify strategies and broaden business knowledge, whether for those who are a new entrepreneur or have been in business for years.
This program will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at the Algiers Regional Library, 3014 Holiday Drive, New Orleans.
TEDDY BEAR TEA: Latter Library will host a Teddy Bear Tea beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday at 5120 St. Charles Ave. Participants are encouraged to bring Teddy bears along to enjoy lots of stories, drinking tea, eating cookies and blowing bubbles. Disposable cups will be provided, or they can bring their own teacup.
AUTHOR NIGHT: This month’s edition of the much-loved Author Night at Hubbell is a double feature. Author Jyl Benson will be discussing her book “Fun, Funky, and Fabulous: New Orleans Casual Restaurant Recipes” and author Kit Wohl will be discussing her book “New Orleans Classic Creole Recipes.”
The program will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at the Hubbell Library, 725 Pelican Ave.
