A man who told an attempted robber that he didn’t have anything to hand over is now in critical condition after being shot twice, New Orleans police said.
A 63-year-old man was approached by an armed suspect in a gray truck just before 5 a.m. Tuesday at Morrison Road and Read Boulevard, the New Orleans Police Department said in a preliminary offense log. The alleged robber demanded the victim’s property.
When the victim told him that he didn’t have anything to hand over, the suspect shot the victim twice and fled, police said.
The man was taken to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.
