Bourbon Street was the scene of three crimes Saturday and Sunday.
The most recent incident was a non life-threatening shooting that occurred around 6 a.m. near the corner of Bourbon and Esplanade Avenue. According to New Orleans police, a 30-year-old man was shot and taken to an area hospital. Detectives are interviewing the victim to find out more details.
Another incident occurred just after midnight in the 800 block of Bourbon. Police said a 21-year-old man was approached by two men and asked if he wanted to buy drugs. A verbal fight turned physical, and the victim was stabbed several times. The two attackers fled, and the victim was hospitalized. No details on his condition.
A third crime happened around 6:15 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Bourbon. A woman, 32, and a motorist got involved in a verbal fight. The motorist shattered the woman’s back windshield then a broken bottle was thrown at the woman. She was cut in several places, police said, and taken to an area hospital. No details on her condition.
