Man arrested for simple kidnapping in New Orleans East

?A 20-year-old man was arrested for simple kidnapping after a fight with the victim escalated on Friday afternoon, New Orleans Police said.

Erin Rodriguez, 20, was fighting with a 19-year-old woman around 12:44 p.m. on Friday on the 7700 block of Chef Menteur Highway, police said. When the argument turned physical, Rodriguez forced the woman inside his car and fled.

Later, Rodriguez and the victim returned to the police station where he was arrested, police said.

?Man carjacked in Marigny neighborhood

A 56-year-old man was carjacked around 3 a.m. on Friday driving in a Marigny neighborhood, New Orleans Police said.

The man stopped on the 3200 block of St. Claude Avenue when two suspects came up to his car, pointing a gun to the victim and forcing the victim to leave his car, police said.

The suspects fled with his car, police said.

?Subway resturant robbed on Franklin Avenue

?The Subway resturant on the 1600 block of Franklin Avenue was robbed on Friday morning, New Orleans Police said.

An armed man came into the resturant around 10:42 a.m., and showing his weapon he demanded money from the business, police said.

The McDonald's resturant on the 2600 block of St. Claude Avenue was robbed at gun point Friday evening, New Orleans Police said.

An armed man entered the resturant around 5:42 p.m., pushing an employee and showing his weapon, police said.

The man grabbed an undetermined amount of money from the register and left, police said.

?Woman robbed at gunpoint Friday evening

A 19-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint on Friday evening, New Orleans Police said.

The woman was walking pass Willowbrook Apartments near Morrison and Bundy roads around 5:28 p.m. when a man began to follow her, police said.

The man stopped her, showed her his weapon and took her money, police said.
