A man and a woman were arrested in a drug bust in the 8700 block of Gervais Street in New Orleans East on Thursday, NOPD Officer Frank Robertson said in a release.

Officers were serving a search warrant on the house of Jessie Mitchell, 29, and Ariel Horace, 30, in response to complaints. Inside the home, they found 67 grams of crack cocaine, 7 grams of marijuana, $1,200 in cash and a loaded 9 mm pistol, according to Robertson.

Mitchell was booked on being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Both were booked on possession with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana.

Man stabbed Thursday morning in Treme

A man was stabbed Thursday morning in the 2200 block of Dumaine Street in Treme after an argument, Officer Frank Robertson said in a release.

Police arrested Apollonia Henderson, 28, in the stabbing, which happened about 11:35 a.m.

Police find four stolen vehicles; man booked

Police discovered four vehicles they believe were stolen by River Ridge man Norman Bryant, 36, on Wednesday, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Col. John Fortunato said.

Bryant was booked on four counts of possessing a stolen vehicle.

Fortunato said investigators were responding to an email complaint about stolen vehicles at Bryant’s residence in the 300 block of South Bengal Road.

Police suspect that Roy Thompson, 60, of Metairie, was involved in stealing the vehicles along with Bryant, Fortunato said.
