Two unrelated shootings overnight in New Orleans left two men dead and one wounded, New Orleans police said.

In the first incident, police responded to reports just after 9:30 p.m. of a shooting on Interstate 10 West near Elysian Fields. According to a NOPD news release, officers discovered an SUV with multiple bullet holes and two unknown male victims inside the vehicle. One victim died at the scene, while the other victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. No further Information was immediately available.

At about 12:40 a.m., NOPD responded to reports of a burglary in the 4200 block of Hamilton Street. When police arrived at the scene, they found an unidentified black male shot in the residence, the NOPD reported in a news release. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
