A Spanish immersion summer camp for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 28-30 at Haynes Academy, 1416 Metairie Road.

The Spanish Honor Society at Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies is sponsoring the camp to introduce the Spanish language and culture to young students through instruction, singing, dancing, games and crafts.

The cost of the program is $150, and the fee includes the three-day camp program, snacks, a T-shirt and crafts.

Money generated from the Spanish immersion camp will be used for scholarships to send students from Haynes Academy to a three-week immersion school in Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica, in summer 2015.
