  • THEOLOGY OF THE BODY: The registration deadline is Wednesday for “Theology of the Body for Teens” facilitator training May 4-6 in the Siena Room in the rectory of St. Dominic Church, 775 Harrison Ave., New Orleans. Brian Butler, of Covington, will lead the training sessions, which will provide a positive portrayal of human sexuality as a good and essential part of love and life. The training is recommended for principals, teachers, youth ministers, parents and anyone who works with young people in grades six through 12. The cost is $75 for high school certification and $100 for middle school certification.   • MOUNT SINAI BAPTIST CHURCH: The Beautification Ministry of Mount Sinai Baptist Church will celebrate its 29th anniversary at 9 a.m. Sunday at the church, 1249 Leboeuf St., Algiers. The event will feature the rededication of the Rev. Dr. Linden H. Keiffer Sr. Memorial Library. The pastor at Mount Sinai is the Rev.   • LATIN MASS: The Extraordinary Form of the Mass of the Roman Rite, the “Tridentine” (Latin) Mass, will be offered at St. Stephen Church (Good Shepherd Parish), 1025 Napoleon Ave., New Orleans, at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The Good Shepherd Choir will be heard in the Missa Cantata, under the direction of Brian Morgan, director of music/principal organist, in the Gregorian “Missa de angelis.” Soprano Phyllis Treigle will be soloist, with Bart Folse as chanter. A guest member of the choir will be mezzo-soprano Emily Sheets, Treigle’s daughter and a voice student at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. Sheets aspires to have a career in opera, like her mother and her grandfather, the legendary bass-baritone Norman Treigle.   • GOOD COUNSEL FEAST DAY: A Mass will be offered at the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, 1307 Louisiana Ave., at 7 p.m. Tuesday to mark its feast day. The Monsignor Christopher H. Nalty, pastor of Good Shepherd Parish, will be the celebrant. Melissa Brocato will be soprano soloist, with Brian Morgan at the pipe organ. The church was dedicated in 1894.   • MOTHER’S DAY JAZZ SERVICE: Delfeayo Marsalis and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra will perform during a Mother’s Day jazz service at 11 a.m. May 8 at Second Free Mission Baptist Church, 1228 Burdette St., New Orleans.
