North shore man booked with raping 8-year-old _lowres

According to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office, Jason Robert Landry, 21, of Loranger, reportedly raped a now 12-year-old at a residence in Venice. An investigation has uncovered that Landry fondled the victim multiple times and made the victim perform sex acts on him.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested and accused of raping a child four years ago.

According to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office, Jason Robert Landry, 21, of Loranger, raped the victim, now 12, at a residence in Venice.

An investigation has uncovered that Landry fondled the victim multiple times and made the victim perform sex acts on him. In an interview with authorities, Landry admitted to committing sex acts on the victim.

PPSO said it believes it's possible there are more victims.

On June 23, the victim reported the allegations to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office. Landry was arrested June 28 by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office and booked as a fugitive from Plaquemines Parish.

He remains at the PPSO Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
