An exhibit of artwork by students attending four historically black colleges and universities in Louisiana is on display through September at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, 925 Camp St., New Orleans.
The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Monday, and also from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays for Ogden After Hours. General admission is $12.50, with discounts available for seniors, students, active military, children and members. Admission is free for Louisiana residents from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays. The HBCUs represented are Dillard University, Grambling State University, Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College (Baton Rouge) and Xavier University of Louisiana.
The exhibit is being presented in collaboration with the New Orleans Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, a women’s volunteer service organization committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the cultural and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
