A new building could be coming to the city's oldest neighborhood.

The owner of a vacant lot in the 800 block of Royal Street where a 200-year-old building collapsed last year have filed permits with the city requesting to build a new structure on the site.

The proposed four-story, 7,600-square-foot building at 810 Royal St. includes a two-story gallery with a single-family home above it, according to construction documents.
