Residents and businesses in a part of Uptown might experience low water pressure Wednesday afternoon due to a break in a 24-inch water main that serves the area, the Sewerage & Water Board said.
Affected streets are in the following areas:
On 6th Street, from South Claiborne Avenue to Dryades Street
On South Liberty Street, from First Street to Loyola Avenue
On Loyola Avenue, from Louisiana Avenue to Philip Street
The main was accidentally damaged by a contractor working in the area, an S&WB spokesman said.
Crews are working to restore services.
