In playful exchanges on Twitter, New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu and Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey have raised the stakes in the Saints' Sunday face-off against Minnesota in a friendly wager.
If the Saints lose, Landrieu must send king cakes up north. If the Vikings lose, the Saints will receive some Minnesota-harvested wild rice.

Landrieu has enlisted the help of Manny Randazzo of Randazzo's King Cakes on 3515 N. Hullen St. to craft the New Orleans delicacies -- if, of course, the Saints fall to the 13-3 Vikings.
Frey was doubtful that Saints will win, thanking the Big Easy in advance for its generosity. And generous Landrieu is: king cake trumps wild rice any day.
