The Friends of the New Orleans Public Library will be holding a yard sale featuring thousands of hard-cover and paperback books. The annual book sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Latter Library, 5120 St. Charles Avenue.

Proceeds from the book sale will go toward funding summer reading programs, adult programming, staff development, local literary events, early literacy programs and much more.

R É SUM É -WRITING SEMINAR: If you are re-entering the job market, looking to start a career, or want to refresh or build your résumé, then come to the Algiers Regional Library, 3014 Holiday Drive, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Jessica Rareshide, of Rare Insight, LLC, will be leading Résumé Writing Secrets, a seminar that will provide insight into creating a hire-worthy résumé.

DIVERSITY IN COMICS: As part of the library’s teen summer reading program, the Main Library Teen Zone, 219 Loyola Avenue, will be hosting Diversity in Comics beginning at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. This program will feature local comic artists discussing representation in comics and speculative fiction focusing on activism and social change.
