A group of armed teenagers robbed a 21-year-old man early Monday morning, New Orleans police said.

Around 12:40 a.m., a group of four to five teenagers, all armed with semi-automatic weapons, surrounded the man near Roosevelt Place and Orleans Avenue, the New Orleans Police Department said in a preliminary offense log.

One of the suspects allegedly hit the man in the head with a gun and searched his pockets. The suspects then fled in an SUV with the man’s cash, bank cards, cellphone and wallet, police said.

No other details were immediately available.
