?Metro PCS on S. Broad Street robbed Saturday

?The Metro PCS in the Tulane neighborhood was victim to an armed robbery Friday, New Orleans Police said.

An unidentified man entered the store to demand money from the cashier around 10:36 a.m. Saturday, police said.

The armed man demanded the cashier open the cash register and after the cashier complied, the man fled with $521 from the register, $750 from employees and a cell phone speaker, police said.

?Man takes about $55,000 worth of jewlery and electronics from Algiers home

?A man was robbed at gunpoint in his Algiers area home early Saturday morning, New Orleans Police said.

The 38-year-old victim was approached by three armed men around 2:39 a.m. Saturday who forced themselves in his home on the 6000 block of Warwick Ct., police said.

The men had the victim lie on the floor while they rummaged through a safe in the home, later taking about $55,000 worth of jewelry and electronics, police said.
