An armed carjacking and six armed robberies were reported over six hours late Sunday and early Monday, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Shortly before 11 p.m., two gunmen approached the driver of a vehicle on Prentiss Avenue, demanded his car keys and fled in his vehicle.

According to police, between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., these armed robberies were also reported:

• Lake Kenilworth: The victim was approached by two armed men who demanded his property then pistol whipped the victim. The victim gave the men his car keys and they fled with the victim’s vehicle.

• Burbank at Vermillion: The victim was approached by two armed men demanding his wallet and cell phone. The victim complied and the men fled.

• Josephine Street: The victim was approached by two men. The armed man demanded the victim’s belongings and he complied. The men fled with cash and a cell phone.

• South Carrollton Avenue: A man armed with a black handgun entered the store and demanded all the cash from the register. The employee complied and the man fled with cash.

• South Pierce Street: The victim was approached by a man armed with a silver handgun demanding his wallet and cell phone. The victim complied and the man struck the victim in the eye with the gun and fled.

• Elysian Field Avenue: A man armed with a gun entered the store demanding all the cash from the register. The employee complied and the man fled.
