An Uber driver was carjacked at gunpoint early Sunday at North Tonti and Louisa streets, New Orleans police said.

The driver, a 39-year-old woman, was at the intersection around 1:53 a.m. when a Chevy Equinox blocked her, the New Orleans Police Department said in a preliminary offense log. The driver of the Equinox, wearing a black scarf over his face, allegedly produced a semi-automatic firearm and demanded she exit the vehicle, police said.

A second suspect then demanded the victim’s phone, police said. The first suspect fled in the victim’s vehicle, and the second suspect fled in the Equinox.
