TRIDENTINE MASS: The Roman Rite Mass, known as the “tridentine” or Latin Mass, will be offered at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at St. Stephen Church (Good Shepherd Parish), 1025 Napoleon Ave., New Orleans. The Rev. Jeffrey Jambon will be the celebrant. The Good Shepherd Choir will be heard in the Missa Cantata, under the direction of Brian Morgan, director of music and principal organist, in the Gregorian “Missa de Angelis.” Phyllis Treigle will be soprano soloist, with Bart Folse as chanter. INVITATION FROM ST. AGNES CHURCH: St. Agnes Catholic Church parish invites the public to “The Final Bell Has Rung Celebration,” in honor of St. Agnes School. The invitation includes all current St. Agnes School community, alumni and former faculty, and parishioners.

St. Agnes School is closing, and a special celebration in its honor will be held beginning with the 4 p.m. Mass on Saturday, May 30, and continuing with a reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Holy Grill will be selling food.

Beginning at 7 p.m., there will be an adult dance. Music will be provided by Broken Hearted Pharaoh and guests can bring their own drinks.

There will be memorabilia available for purchase.

ST. JUDE NOVENA: The annual nine-day summer novena to St. Jude, presented by the St. Jude Society, is June 1-9 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 6425 West Metairie Ave., Metairie. Leading the novena will be the Rev. Dennis Ryan.

Novena times are Monday through Friday, 12:15 p.m., novena only, and 6 p.m., Mass and novena; Saturday, 12:15 p.m. novena only, and 4 p.m. Mass and novena; and Sunday, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., Mass and novena at both times.

BLUE MASS: The inaugural Blue Mass to honor Kenner police, firefighters and emergency responders was recently held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Kenner. Archbishop Gregory Aymond officiated and the ceremony included school students from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.
