The Sewerage & Water Board has announced construction projects will cause traffic disruptions and low water pressure in parts of New Orleans.

The riverside travel lane of part of Magazine Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday while workers repair a sewer house connection in the 4400 block of Magazine, near Napoleon Avenue.

Motorists traveling downtown toward Napoleon will be detoured to Tchoupitoulas Street between Jefferson and Napoleon avenues. The lakeside lane of Magazine Street will remain open.

Residents and businesses on North Rampart Street between Conti and St. Louis streets and on Bienville Street between North Rampart and Burgundy streets will experience low water pressure from 9 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday while workers tie in a water line that serves the area.

Customers on North Galvez Street between Charbonnet and Andry streets will experience low water pressure from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday while crews perform a tie-in of a new water line.
