The Orleans Parish Library presents a full schedule of events throughout February in honor of Black History Month. Events this week include a Black History Month storytime at 11 a.m., Saturday at the Norman Mayer Library; African Music storytime at 1 p.m., Saturday at the Main Library; Paul Robeson Student Acting Competition workshops at noon Saturday at the Keller Library & Community Center, led by Rebecca Mwase, co-director of LOUD; and writing workshops at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Norman Mayer Library, led by members of Team Slam New Orleans.

FREE TAX HELP: AARP is providing free tax preparation services through April 17 at four library locations. No appointments are required, and the service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
