Volunteers between 18 and 25 years of age can earn a free pass to the three-day Greenbuild International Conference and Expo by working eight hours at the event through the U.S. Green Building Council Louisiana Chapter.

The conference at the Morial Convention Center is expected to bring 25,000 green building professionals to the city Oct. 22-24.

Volunteers will have access to the opening keynote, exhibit hall, education sessions, conference bag, credentials and the show program.

The U.S. Green Building Council facilitates the LEED — Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design — certification program for green buildings. The conference aims to bring together and unite a diverse constituency of builders, environmentalists, corporations, nonprofits, elected officials, government agencies, teachers, students and concerned citizens interested in sustainable development.

Those over 25 or not available Greenbuild week may inquire about volunteer opportunities by sending email to colleen@usgbclouisiana.org.
