Register before Wednesday for the sixth New Orleans New Writers Literary Festival, a collaboration between the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and Lusher Charter School.

LitFest will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 6 at NOCCA. Open to ninth- through 12th-graders, the LitFest includes a master class with writer Nathaniel Rich and small classes on screenwriting, poetry, fiction, movement and text, story games for writers, spoken word, sound and text plus an author’s chat.

All participants will be in Rich’s master class; they will choose two of the other classes. There will also be an open mic reading at the end of the day.
