A film by James King, an 11th-grader studying media arts at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, has been selected for a screening in New York at the 2014 Varsity Brands All American High School Film Festival Oct. 24-27. The film, “ATYW,” may be viewed on YouTube.
As a chosen filmmaker, King is nominated to win an award from the organization as well as scholarship money, Apple Final Cut Pro X editing software, Final Draft script writing software and national championship rings.
The All American High School Film Festival showcases talented high school media arts student with the mission of awarding recognition to the filmmakers of the future. The film festival receives thousands of submissions from more than 45 states and 15 different countries.
