Police have arrested a teen wanted for stabbing two roommates in the Seventh Ward in May.

Darnell Bailey, 18, was booked on Sunday on counts of aggravated battery, aggravated burglary, and theft of a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $200,000 on Monday.

Bailey allegedly burst into a house in the 1300 block of Annette Street on May 24 and started stabbing a 24-year-old woman and ransacking her room. When she started screaming, police said, a male roommate, 25, came to the room to attempt to aid her, at which point Bailey started stabbing him as well.

Bailey then stole money from both victims and fled in the woman’s vehicle, police said. Both victims were hospitalized.
