A man is in critical condition after being shot in the face and neck Wednesday night in Gentilly, officials said.

New Orleans police responded to a call of shots fired around 11:11 p.m. Wednesday in the 2600 block of Myrtle Street. On arrival, they found a man slumped over the steering wheel of a blue 2006 Porsche suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the face and neck, the New Orleans Police Department said in a news release.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he remains listed in critical condition, police said.
