St. Joan of Arc Catholic School in LaPlace recently held a graduation ceremony for its departing seventh-graders.

There were four valedictorians with 4.0 grade-point averages: Morgan Espenan, Hannah Hauck, Rylee Johnson and Lauren St. Martin. Emily Schexnayder, with a 3.975 GPA, was salutatorian.

Special awards went to the boy and girl who best exemplified Catholic values during their time at St. Joan of Arc. Those receiving this honor from the faculty are Hayden Hebert and Lauren St. Martin.

Courtney Millet, director of instruction and institutional advancement at St. Charles Catholic High School, presented awards to St. Joan of Arc graduates who earned scholarships based on their performance on a high school placement test. Those students are Danielle Adams, Rylee Alexander, Hayden Hebert, Cade Pregeant and Ian White.

Darlene McDonald presented the Daughters of the American Revolution Youth Citizenship Award to Rylee Johnson.
