St. John Parish authorities on Tuesday arrested the third suspect in a shooting two months ago in LaPlace.
Carlshane Dennis, 24, of Reserve was booked with attempted second-degree murder and possession of stolen things over $1,500. His remains jailed on a $275,000 bond, Sheriff Mike Tregre said in a news release.
Police allege he was involved with a shooting July 24 in LaPlace.
About 10:13 p.m., deputies responded to the 1700 block of Creole Street to investigate a report of gunshots in the area.
They found out a 24-year-old man had arrived at the River Parishes Hospital emergency room with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Oliver Young, 19, and Deshennen Alexander, 22, both of Gretna were previously arrested in the case.
Young was booked with accessory after the fact to attempted murder. He was out of jail on $500,000 bail, the sheriff’s office said.
Alexander was booked with attempted second-degree murder. He remains jailed on a $500,000 bond.
