One person died and another was injured in a crash involving a Lamborghini late Wednesday in the 1800 block of Tchoupitoulas Street, New Orleans police said.
Around 11:50 p.m., officers responded to the crash and determined that the driver of a black 2015 Lamborghini was traveling eastbound on Tchoupitoulas Street when he apparently lost control of the vehicle, the New Orleans Police Department said in a news release. The vehicle crashed into a flood wall near the intersection of Felicity Street and Tchoupitoulas Street, police said.
The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The male driver was transported to an area hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
Blood and alcohol tests are pending, police said.
