The Sewerage & Water Board said construction will cause low water pressure and traffic disruptions in parts of New Orleans this week:
Customers on Bryson Road in Lower Coast Algiers will experience low water pressure from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday as workers repair a fire hydrant in the area, which is between La. 406 and the dead end near River Road.
Customers on River Road in Lower Coast Algiers will experience low water pressure from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday as workers repair two fire hydrants. The affected area of River Road is between Delacroix Road and the dead end.
Octavia Street will be closed to vehicular traffic at Prytania Street beginning Monday for eight weeks as contractors working for the Sewerage & Water Board and the Army Corps of Engineers do permanent roadway work on Prytania. Joseph Street will reopen prior to Octavia Street’s closing.
Residents and businesses in a section of the Central Business District will experience low water pressure from 11 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday as crews tie in an 8-inch water line that serves the area. The affected areas will be along Gravier Street from O’Keefe Avenue to Baronne Street and along Baronne from Gravier to Canal Street.
