CRUZIN’ DA PARISH: All makes and models of antique, muscle and modified cars are eligible to participate in the St. Bernard Rod Knockers’ Cruzin’ Da Parish event Sept. 12. Participants will travel along the parish’s scenic byway, St. Bernard Highway, making several stops along the way between Arabi and Violet. Registration is $25 through Sept. 1 and $30 on the day of the event, when registration will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event begins and ends at The Palms, 8001 W. St. Bernard Highway in Chalmette, with stops at the Aycock Barn, Old Arabi Sugar Museum, the Los Isleños Museum Complex, the historic Beauregard Courthouse and Docville Farm. After the last car is in at 5 p.m. at The Palms, the group’s September cruise night will follow until 8 p.m. There will be cash prizes, music and a silent auction.
