The Sewerage & Water Board has announced several road closures and low water pressure events Uptown in the vicinity of Napoleon, Louisiana and Jefferson avenues. Major drainage projects are underway on all three avenues.

Chestnut Street will be closed at Napoleon from Wednesday until the end of February. This closure will not affect traffic traveling on Napoleon. In addition, Camp Street will close at Napoleon in mid- to late January for approximately two months.

Clara Street will be closed at Jefferson Avenue from Wednesday until the spring. This closure will not affect traffic on Jefferson. Both Story and Magnolia streets will be opened at Jefferson while Clara is closed.

Residents and businesses on Prytania Street between Joseph Street and Jefferson Avenue will experience low water pressure from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday while a new water line is tied in.

There will be low water pressure along Chestnut Street between Louisiana Avenue and Sixth Street from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday while workers tie in a new water line serving that area.

In addition, a water line tie-in previously scheduled for Wednesday has been rescheduled for Thursday. As a result, there will be low water pressure from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day along Louisiana Avenue from St. Charles Avenue to Camp Street and along Coliseum Street from Louisiana to Sixth Street.
