A 19-year-old Waggaman man has been arrested for his involvement in a Harvey shooting that left a teenage girl dead.

Davin Labranch, 18, of Waggaman, was shot in the face, police said, and has also been charged with second degree murder in the June 11 incident.

According to police, a verbal altercation began on the bus between two groups of males before gunfire erupted in the Lowe's parking lot where the bus was parked.

Furnell 'Nonnie' Celestine, also sought for his involvement, reportedly went to his vehicle and retreived a gun before firing on the group who had just exited the bus. Clamisha Houston, 19, of Harvey, was killed in the crossfire.

Police said witnesses at the scene reported Celestine and Labranch fired at the group without provocation. Police have yet to identify the group of shooters who returned fire.
