DESTREHAN HIGH: Haley Taylor, 17, a junior at Destrehan High School, recently attended the 2015 Louisiana Federation of Music Clubs State Junior Convention held at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux. Taylor has held the position of junior secretary for the past year. This year, she was elected to junior president for the Louisiana Federation of Music Clubs.

In addition, Taylor won the LFMC 2015 Musically Advanced Musical Theatre Award, Senior III Vocal Solo-Art Song Award and Musically Advanced Vocal Duet Award.

She recently participated for the ninth year with the LFMC JR Festival at Delgado Community College. There, she earned superior ratings in musical theater and art song.

LUSHER GRADUATE: Lusher Charter school graduates of the Class of 2015 include Brianna Ariel Bailey and Brianna Lynette Bailey.

ST. CLEMENT OF ROME: Robert Francioni was among many honorees at the School Volunteer Award Ceremony held June 9 at the Governor’s Mansion. The event was sponsored by the Associated Professional Educators of Louisiana and recognized volunteers from throughout the state. Francioni was the only recipient from Jefferson Parish.

Francioni has volunteered at Saint Clement of Rome School and church by being part of the Men’s Club, Friday night fish fry, crawfish cook-out, craft fair, parish fair and other activities. He is noted by the faculty for being kind and supportive of the school’s mission.
