Touro offers freeTouro Infirmary is providing free seasonal influenza vaccinations to adults and children age 5 and older Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at Touro, 1401 Foucher St. entrance, Uptown New Orleans.

Volunteers will greet attendees at the Foucher Street Entrance lobby, where they will complete and sign a consent form.

A nurse will administer the vaccine and complete the vaccination card showing the participant received the vaccine.

Supper club offers gluten-free meal

West Jefferson Medical Center, 1101 Medical Center Blvd., Marrero, will host a free EKG and health fair from 7 to 10 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 21 at the medical center,

“Hustle for a Healthy Heart Muscle” will include glucose, blood pressure and BMI screenings, and demonstrations on healthful cooking and exercise.

Three talks are planned: “Heart Disease in Women” at 12:15 p.m.; a patient success story at 12:30 p.m.; and an EMS talk about myths on calling 911 and heart attack equipment, at 12:40 p.m.

Entertainment is also planned, beginning at 1 p.m.
