The 50th reunion of the Francis T. Nicholls High School class of 1965 will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Northshore Harbor Center, 100 Harbor Center Blvd., Slidell.

The reunion will highlight the high school’s 75th anniversary, and all graduates from the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s are invited to attend. There will be live music from Flip Side and snacks, with beer, wine and soft drinks included in the price of admission and liquor available on a cash basis. Tickets are $50 and may be purchased at www.nichollshi65.com.

The Old New Orleans website says Nicholls opened on Jan. 29, 1940, at 3820 St. Claude Ave., at the former site of McDonogh No. 12. The school was renamed Frederick Douglass High School in the 1990s. ARISE Academy now operates there.
