Person of interest sought in July armed robbery, shooting on Tullis Drive in Algiers _lowres

The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a person of interest in an armed robbery and shooting that happened July 20 in the 5600 block of Tullis Drive in Algiers.

Albert Lamartz, 52, may have critical information about the incident, NOPD said in a news release Thursday. Lamartz is not a suspect in the case.

At 9 p.m. July 20, the victim was inside his vehicle talking with an unknown man. During the conversation, the unknown man allegedly robbed the victim of cash, police said.

When the victim exited his vehicle, a second unknown man allegedly produced a handgun, demanded his property and shot him. Both suspects then fled the scene.

The victim was transported to a hospital and listed in stable condition.
