3-year-old, two others shot Tuesday night
Three people, including a 3-year-old girl, were shot Tuesday night in the Zion City neighborhood, New Orleans police said.
Two males approached a group of people in the 1300 block of South Salcedo Street about 7:10 p.m. and began firing, Officer Garry Flot said.
A 15-year-old male was struck in the hip and leg, a 16-year-old male was struck in the stomach and the girl was struck in the back.
The girl and the 16-year-old were in critical condition at a local hospital, Flot said. The 15-year-old was in stable condition.
The suspects fled in a white four-door Nissan Murano with a sun roof, Flot said.
Teen, 16, dies after being revived in ER
A West Bank teenager who was pronounced dead upon arrival at a New Orleans hospital but then was revived in the emergency room died later from injuries suffered in an afternoon shooting.
Stefan Johnson, 16, died at 4:28 p.m. at Interim LSU Hospital, said Col. John Fortunato, a Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
The teen was shot about 12:35 p.m. near Luther and King drives in Marrero. He collapsed about a block away in the 1100 block of Martin Drive.

Boy, 5, who drowned in Slidell-area pool ID’d
The St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office has ruled the death of a young boy Friday as an accidental drowning and has identified the victim as 5-year-old Isaac Robinson.
Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call at 1018 McCartney St. near Slidell on Friday evening and began CPR.
The child was taken to Ochsner North Shore, where he was pronounced dead.
Woman raped Tuesday in French Quarter
A woman was raped early Tuesday morning in the French Quarter, New Orleans police said.
The victim was sexually assaulted about 2 a.m. in the 1000 block of St. Peter Street, according to a daily police log.
No other details were immediately available, and police did not identify a suspect.
Gunfire wounds two at Central City playground
Two men were shot Tuesday afternoon at a Central City playground, New Orleans police said.
The shooting was reported a little after noon at A.L. Davis Park at Washington Avenue and LaSalle Street.
The victims’ conditions were not immediately known.
Man gunned down in N.O. East identified
A man gunned down last week in New Orleans East has been identified as 21-year-old Kevin Hubbard.
Hubbard, of Jefferson, was shot about 2:25 p.m. Thursday in the 6700 block of Foch Road.
He died on the scene.
Police have not identified a suspect or motive in his death.

JPSO hopes hot leads will deliver pizza bandit
Jefferson Parish authorities are hoping that warm leads will deliver them a man suspected in two recent robberies of pizza delivery drivers.
Deputies arrested Dashawn Tillman, 17, who confessed to the robberies and identified one of his alleged accomplices as 16-year-old Tahj Boatman.
Investigators also identified Damani Wells, 20, of New Sarpy, as a suspect. He remained at large Tuesday but could be living in Kenner, said Glen Boyd, a Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
The suspects are believed to have robbed pizza delivery drivers of their pies about 10 p.m. June 19 in the 3400 block of Virginia Drive and about the same time June 23 in the 3500 block of North Arnoult Road. Both sites are in Metairie. In both cases the victims were punched by one of the suspects.

Buras man, 19, killed in hit-and-run crash
Authorities in Plaquemines Parish are investigating a three-car crash that killed a Buras man early Tuesday.
Davy Bowers, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities booked Joseph Hicks, 27, on several counts, including driving while intoxicated, hit-and-run and negligent homicide.
The crash happened about 3:30 a.m. in the 30500 block of La. 23 in Nairn.
Investigators said Hicks, driving a Chevrolet Silverado, crossed the median, entering the southbound lane and striking Bowers’ vehicle head-on. Hicks fled the scene, authorities said, but was located several hours later.
A 2004 Ford Mustang was also involved in the crash, but its driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
